Here are the last couple of pictures from Paris. I had an amazing weekend. We went to the Louvre, Palais Royal and the Eiffel Tower again 🙂
Here are some more pictures of Paris. I was so lucky, the weather was perfect during my trip. Not everything was perfect though, do you know the shell game scam? Well we were dumb enough to fall for it. I wasn’t sure if I was going to tell this here on my blog because I’m a little embarrassed, but here it is haha. This is a game they play in a lot of big city’s, the game features a small ball that you need to find under three cups. The challenge is to remember under which cup the ball is after someone has shuffled them around (in reality you can never win!). We were looking at the game for a couple of minutes and saw a lot of people earn money, so we thought let’s try. You have to give €50 and if you guess right you get €100 and otherwise you lose your money. Of course we lost our money, even tough we were so certain about where the ball was. So we lost €50, a waste of our money, but the rest of the day was perfect. But this isn’t the worst part… The next day when we were walking to the Eiffel Tower we saw the game again, and you probably already guess it, we tried again to win our money back. Of course again we were certain but we lost. Afterwards we searched on google to learn more about this game, and we found out it is a big scam. You can literally never win this game. The people who win money are all part of it. I feel soooo stupid. All of my friends and family laughed at me because apparently this is generally known. So let this be a warning, never ever play this game, haha!! Enough about this, apart from this my trip to Paris was the best, can’t wait to go back!
Here are the first couple of pictures from my trip to Paris. This was the first time I really explored Paris. I’ve been to Paris before multiple times, but I only went to visit my family there, shop a little and look at the Eiffel Tower. This time I made a whole list of things I wanted to see. This day we went to Montmartre, we visited the Sacre Coeur and Place du Terte, which is a whole street packed with colourful artist stalls. This is where our caricature was made (see photo above). It’s so funny because it looks just like us in some sort of way, haha. In the photos you can also see the Arc de Triomph, our hotel was right next to it, so we saw it like a hundred times during our stay in Paris haha. Our first day was the 14th of July, which is the French national day. At night, there was the most beautiful firework show I’ve ever seen, at the Eiffel Tower. I’ve made a ton of beautiful videos of it but unfortunately I can’t show them here. If was one of the best nights ever, so magical! I was totally worth the 2 hours wait to get the best spot:).
