One of my favorite moments of 2016: spending 5 amazing weeks in Bali with my love! We travelled to the most beautiful places in Bali, and to some islands next to Bali. Our route was as follows: Lovina -> Ubud -> Gili Trawangan -> Gili Meno -> Padangbai -> Nusa Lembongan -> Uluwatu -> Jimbaran -> Kuta -> Seminyak. I will tell you guys a little about each place, what we did and what I loved about it, and I will show you my favorite pictures!

When we arrived in Denpasar, the airport of Bali, we immediately took a cab to Lovina, a place in the north of Bali. We read this was going to take around 2/3 hours, but after 4 hours we still weren’t there! It turned out the driver took a wrong turn.. After a flight of 20 hours and a taxi ride of 5 hours we finally made it to Lovina. When we arrived it was raining so bad. We immediately went to our cottage. To make our first day in Bali even worse, the toilet didn’t flush and the shower had no hot water. We were both very moody and tired, and went to sleep early. The next couple of days on the other hand where perfect! It was sunny and Lovina was very lovely. There aren’t much tourists in Lovina, so everything was very cheap there. We ate together for around €10,- per day, and the food super delicious! The sand of the beach in Lovina (at least in front of our hotel) was black, which I really liked, something other than the usual. The favorite thing we did in Lovina was spotting wild dolphins! We went in a small fisher boat at six in the morning to search the dolphins, and we found them! In Lovina we also went to a natural hot spring and the Gitgit Waterfall, which is the highest waterfall from Bali. This was incredible!
